This attenuator is specially designed for easy and fast connection transverter board to your HF radio. With this attenuator you can connect your HF radio to our Flex radio transverters.
This model has SMA RF sockets for minimum losses on VHF.
The attenuator of the will agree high power output of your transceiver with a sensitive input of a transverter board, and also ensures functioning on HF without additional switchings (bypass) full power – 100wt.
Typical minimum power output of HF radio of 8 – 10 Watts. The attenuator weakens on 30db to the level of a transverter, necessary for normal operation of a transverter board. With the front panel adjustment, you can set the 28MHz level you want.
This attenuator can withstand up to 100 watts of power for short periods in VHF mode using a dedicated high frequency power resistor.
If you accidentally forgot to lower the power in VHF mode and briefly applied the full power of your transceiver to the attenuator input, then now nothing terrible will happen. Just reduce the power to the desired 10 watts, everything will work without problems.
Don’t forget to reduce the power of your transceiver to level 8 – 10wt by operation in the VHF mode!!!
